Hall of Fame members voted throughout the month of August for their choice for the Hall of Fame and their choice this year was a man who has been an integral part of the Arizona Pool Scene over four different decades. Ellis “Tres” Kane has been involved with Arizona Pool as a player, tournament director, tour director, promoter, sparring partner and just about any other role that he has been asked to fulfill.

 

Joining Kane on the stage this year will be another man who has kept the sport thriving here in Arizona. Believe it or not, Bull Shooters owner Mike Bates has only been a friend of the game for the last twelve years. With everything that he has helped promote here in the Valley, it seems like he has been part of the scene for a lot longer. In a short period of time, Bates has turned Bull Shooters into one of the premier billiards destinations in the West Valley and has supported an untold number of both major and minor events at his room.

 

Both Kane and Bates will be inducted into the Arizona Billiards Hall of Fame at 7pm on the night of Friday, October 13th at Bullshooters in Phoenix, Arizona. Registration for the dinner will be available at the door on October 13th.
